An ancient network exists to hunt the supernatural creatures that prey on men. The war has been waged on blood drenched battlefields, the deepest caverns and across the continents of the Earth. Now a battle is building in a small town in the north of England. This hunt is only for the brave.
Part of the “Diary of the Wolf” series, A Tale of Hunters takes place between the first and second novels in the series.
What did I think?
Following on from yesterdays post on ‘The Diary of the Wolf’ by Frank E. Whelan, here’s my review for the follow on book, A Tale of Hunters. Whelan has written a quick and easy novella that really doesn’t take any effort to get through.
I loved how clean-cut and straight to the point Whelan managed to keep the novella. He has really managed to pack a whole load of story into just 42 pages…that is some skill to have! Whelan succeeded in adding action and suspense and also a twist to the story in very minimal time and I really commend him for making it work!
For a short afternoon read, you really cannot go wrong. You don’t have to have read the first book in the series to follow the story because Whelan has written the hunters tale and not the werewolf’s. And while I have previously said I weren’t a fan of the ‘supernatural’ books…again I have been proved that such brilliant books do exist.
My Rating? ♥♥♥♥
Will you be adding this to your TBR pile?
