Author S. K. Tremayne
A year after one of their identical twin daughters, Lydia, dies in an accident, Angus and Sarah Moorcraft move to the tiny Scottish island Angus inherited from his grandmother, hoping to put together the pieces of their shattered lives.
But when their surviving daughter, Kirstie, claims they have mistaken her identity—that she, in fact, is Lydia—their world comes crashing down once again.
As winter encroaches, Angus is forced to travel away from the island for work, Sarah is feeling isolated, and Kirstie (or is it Lydia?) is growing more disturbed. When a violent storm leaves Sarah and her daughter stranded, Sarah finds herself tortured by the past—what really happened on that fateful day one of her daughters died?
What did I think?
Wow. I really don’t know how to start with this one other than the fact that ‘The Ice Twins‘ is possibly going to go down as one of my favourite books. Tremayne has really gone in to the parent’s worst nightmare but made it ten times worse than any parent could ever imagine. It’s dark, it’s unnerving, it’s traumatic but it is just sheer brilliance.
Not only has Tremayne ensured that the ‘base line’ of this book is enough to keep you hooked, but the twists we all want in a book are there too. I honestly do not think that this book could be improved in any way shape or form.
My mum originally highlighted this book to me prior to its release and from reading the blurb I knew I had to read this book. I pre-ordered it and to my surprise I received a signed copy from Tremayne. So thank you mum, and thank you Tremayne!
I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for any other books written by S K Tremayne because if ‘The Ice Twins’ is anything to go by then it will be worth every penny I ever spend!
My Rating? ♥♥♥♥♥
Will you be adding this to your TBR pile?
